This Privacy Policy explains how Mars AI Technology Solutions (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use PromoPrint — our supermarket price-label printing app and related cloud API at printapp.marsai.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email address, and authentication credentials (or tokens) you provide when registering or signing in.
• Store profile — supermarket / shop details you enter in the setup wizard (for example shop name, address, branding preferences).
• Catalogue & print data — products, categories, templates, and print activity you create or sync to our servers for your organisation (tenant).
• Subscription & purchase data — plan status and purchase tokens verified with Google Play / Apple (we do not receive your full payment card details; billing is handled by the store).
• Device & technical data — IP address, app version, and basic diagnostics needed to operate the API securely.
• Permissions on device — camera (barcode scanning), Bluetooth (thermal printers), and photos/files you choose to attach. These stay on device unless you sync related content to the cloud.

3. How we use information

• Provide and improve the PromoPrint app and cloud sync.
• Authenticate users and isolate each organisation’s data (multi-tenant).
• Enforce subscription limits and verify in-app purchases with the app stores.
• Secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Respond to support requests you send to us.

4. Legal bases (UK GDPR / GDPR)

We process personal data where necessary to perform our contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in running a secure multi-tenant service, where you consent (for example optional marketing, if offered), or where we must comply with law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

• Infrastructure providers that host our servers (currently our production host for printapp.marsai.co.uk).
• Google Play / Apple for subscription verification.
• Professional advisers or authorities when required by law.

6. Retention

We keep account and tenant data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and tenant isolation on the API. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.

8. International transfers

Servers may be located in the European Economic Area or other regions used by our hosting provider. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

You can delete your account yourself at any time — in the app under Settings → Plan and account → Delete account, or by following these instructions, which also list exactly what is removed.

10. Children

PromoPrint is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and material changes may be notified in the app or by email where appropriate.
